The little girl was left standing in horror as paramedics desperately tried to save her father on the pavement in west Croydon, south London, on Thursday evening.
The pair were travelling to the nearby Mayday Hospital, where her baby brother had been born.

Fufu (Foo-foo, Foufou, fu fu) is to Western and Central Africa cooking what mashed potatoes are to traditional European-American cooking. Fufu is a starchy accompaniment for stews or other dishes with sauce. To eat fufu: use your right hand to tear off a bite-sized piece of the fufu, shape it into a ball, make an indentation in it, and use it to scoop up the soup or stew or sauce, or whatever you’re eating. Sway, the man who claimed that the USA isn’t giving UK rappers enough space to break through in his song ‘Little Derek’ recently won an award for best hip hop act at the Urban Music Awards in the UK.
After the awards he was interviewed by the ‘hip hop chronicle’, and was asked on a rumour about him being signed to Akon’s label Konvict Muzik.
Apparently, Akon heard of Sway from DJ Semtex’s mixtape called ‘Crunk and Grime’ where he was rapping to one of his beats with Young Jeezy on it. Sway stated that the rumour was true and moved on to telling the story where he and Akon coincidently met up in Ghana, West Africa and linked up with each other for the first time. According to Sway they ended up going to the world cup together in Germany with ‘MTV Base’ host Trevor Nelson and carried on discussing some paper work…

President Mills’ surprise list is out
With more appointments in the offing for President John Evans Atta Mills, indications are that the next couple of names to be released for the various ministries and departments by the new administration could choke any average Ghanaian, depending on what he is doing at the time the list is announced.
Described as the surprise list of the year, the list is a blend of young and old cadres, plus what National Democratic Congress (NDC) insiders say is a return of the Tsatsu ‘boys’.
Rumours are rife that Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic Bank, has been penciled to replace Dr. Paul Acquah as Governor of the Bank of Ghana, while Goosie Tanoh, founder of the National Reform Party (NRP), is tipped to take over Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s former position as deputy governor.

THE FORMER President and the founder of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, has stated that the recommendations in Mad. Chinery Hesse’s report on ex-gratia award for former Presidents was not only an attempt by ex-President John Agyekum Kufour to rip-off the nation, but also to cover up his ill-gotten wealth during his administration.
US Pres Obama’s Inauguration Speech in full
My fellow Citizens
I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and co-operation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms.
At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we, the people, have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbears, and true to our founding documents.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
