Captain Stephen Appiah has been forced to withdraw himself from Ghana’s deadly 32 man Roster. The fearless leader is allegedly having some pressing family issues that require immediate attention. It would indeed be difficult for the captain to perform at an optimal level when he has personal issues lurking in the background.

Stephen brings a rare quality to the Black stars, his ability to command and control the tempo of his team combined with his aggressive yet finesse nature makes him a key player of the Ghana Black stars.

The Veteran captain will surely be missed during this time. Although Stephen will not be participating in the qualifying games, Ghana’s head coach Milovan Rajevac remains confident in a deep and strong Ghanaian squad. It is a safe assumption that all of Black Star fans will patiently await the return of Captain Stephen Appiah. Regardless of the current challenges, Black stars must remain focused on the goal ahead to give the return of Captain Sephen Appiah a hope in returning back to the Black Stars to resume his role.
